Staying at the Marriott County Hall is a dream coming true. It’s located at the opposite of Westminster Abbey, facing the London Eye (you can wave hello to the people in it) and perfect if you’re staying for a short trip and exploring the neighborhood such as Hyde Park and Big Ben. I got up when London was still asleep and took pictures in front of the London Eye. I tried in room breakfast and the normal breakfast and would highly recommend the waffles and eggs benedict! We also had the chance to see the biggest suite and the balcony suite with views over all sightseeing spots (so dreamy!). If you want to take a late night swim in Londons biggest hotel pool or simply want to train for Olympia, you can give it a go at the 25 meters indoor pool located at the 5th floor 😀 It also comes with a sauna which I highly appreciated. At the first evening we had the chance to listen to TED Talks – two young inspirational people talking about their businesses, their struggles and what motivates them. It was followed by a 5 course dinner and on Nov 2nd was the official relaunch event with so many people joining us! I was so happy to have Sophia (@phiaka) with me on the trip and met many inspiring people!
I’m member of Marriott Rewards, which has over 55 million members and is the hotel loyalty program of Marriott International, it’s free and you can collect points of stays or flights and get free nights in return. Marriott Rewards members also enjoy free Wi-Fi, mobile ckeck-in and late check out. You only have to register for free, it’s so easy! Thanks to Marriott for the short trip to London.

motivation
Recently when I met other bloggers or clients at pressdays or blogger dinners, I often got told that I remind them of another German blogger. Of course I understand that, everybody’s trying to evaluate the person they just met and make a picture of them in their minds. But for me it’s quite nerve racking – I am my own brand and don’t want people to think I copy someone. The theme I had in mind when I started my Instagram three years ago was exactly as it is today: travel photos mixed with premium brands, more cute looking myself than a sexy myself, high quality pictures. Inspirational, colorful and day light pictures with a lot of blonde hair, breakfasts and from-back pictures in it. That’s what I wanted my brand ‘VIVA LA MODA’ to look like. Unfortunately, a year after that, started a different German blogger with that and was gaining more followers than I had. She’s doing it full time and even had a whole team to work for her – so of course she has 5 times more man power to work for the blog and make it successful. When I started I had a 40 hours job and now I have 50 hours studies at university. That is totally fine with me and I think not everyone can be completely new and unique but yeah – I will not change my brand just because others are doing it the same way I’m doing. My Blog and Instagram is 100% me – not to personal but very inspirational, girly and colorful just like I feel. I always looked like that (I never dyed my hair or had a short cut) and I hope you understand and like that 🙂
yotel new york
Staying at the corner room at the yotel was a true dream. After visiting the rooftop cinema last year when we were in New York city (we watched Breakfast at Tiffanys) we were super happy to collaborate with the hotel. Our room was in the top floor and we woke up to an amazing 180° view every day. I could have stayed all day and watch the cabs drive by. Super instagram worthy is the terrace with is embroided pillows and lampions. I think for everybody visiting New York it’s a good budget alternative. Thanks so much to the Yotel for having us!
