I got a lot of responses for the pictures in Burano and I think you really seem to like them – so here’s the second part of my travel diary from Burano! I was at the Storey concept store opening yesterday at the Oberpollinger and enjoyed some drinks. They have premium brands like for example Adidas, the Kooples, Edited and Topshop. Make sure to stop by!
burano part one
Burano is every photographer’s dream location! When I took the boat from Venice to get to the little island I was surprised that it took 90 minutes – but it definitely is worth the ride. There are alleys filled with beautiful picturesque houses. Everyone has it’s own charm with different colors, doors, windows, flowers, bows, cactuses and the canals put the cherry on top. Do you like the pictures? Let me know, because I think about doint a second post about Burano.
jw marriott venice
My stay at the JW Marriott in Venice was a dream coming true. I actually don’t know where to start – it’s the very first hotel I’d say for sure to spend my honeymoon at. The Marriott is located on Isola delle Rose, a 20 minute ride from St. Markus Square in Venice. I had a room with the garden view and a huge bathtub from wich I could watch TV! How cool’s that? The first day I walked around the island and saw the Olive garden, the Michelin star restaurant, the church and the three pools. I really love the main terrasse at the entrance building, from which you can see Venice and the alps in the background. It’s also possible to rent a bike and bring your personal boat to the island if you don’t want to use the free shuttle boat. On the last day I enjoyed the spa – and I think the pictures tell it all – how beautiful is that?
I’m member of Marriott Rewards, which has over 55 million members and is the hotel loyalty program of Marriott International, it’s free and you can collect points of stays or flights and get free nights in return. Marriott Rewards members also enjoy free Wi-Fi, mobile ckeck-in and late check out. You only have to register for free, it’s so easy! Thanks to Marriott for a wonderful time in Venice and I definitely will come back!
travel diary italy
I was so happy to travel with my boyfriend to Lake Garda and enjoy a few days relaxing, eating pasta and basically doing nothing. Ok well you know me – of course we also visited two towns, Malcesine and Bardolino (where we stayed at) and I’ve been several times to Malcesine and I really have to say it’s my favorite city of the lake. Not sure if it’s because of childhood memories or because of the beautiful harbour and castle – it is really worth a visit. I hope you like the pictures, let me know.
