travel diary rottnest island

LOCATION: WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Talking about Rotto Island, there’s only one word that comes to my mind: paradise. A 40 min drive with the ferry from Perth and located in the middle of the Indian Ocean with its crystal clear water and more than 20 beaches and lagoons Rotto is the place to relax and calm down. The whole island is under nature conservation and you can only drive around by bike or bus. As I love cycling I chose the bike and made my way through the hills. Apart from beeing the most beautiful island I’ve ever seen, it’s inhabitants, the Quokkas, are the most patient and cutest animals ever! I mean just look at the pictures, they are so adorable (how cute is that baby Quokka)!
